2 Cent Ramblings of the Insane

I don’t think I’ve concentrated on lips enough in a while;
That I have been caught up too long
trying know feeling from emotion,
and suppressed these sensors by rule and request.

Lips have been absent from my dreams;
Imagining the Ideal and the Fantasy,
but somehow forgetting
that the anticipation and the spark of these realities,
would all begin within the lips.

The matchstick sound as they brush over skin.
The temperature and the taste.
The subtlest movements
able to speak an entire meaning or question,
while holding the desire for a deep reply.
